On This Day...

1995 - British rock royals Pink Floyd release their highly acclaimed live album P*U*L*S*E. It came in a CD pack with a blinking red LED light on the case that flashed to the heartbeat heard at the start of their iconic album, Dark Side Of The Moon, which is played in its entirely on P*U*L*S*E.


Musical Births And Deaths

1967 - Oasis lead guitarist and principal songwriter Noel Gallagher (the younger one) is compressed inside his mother's womb so as to be born. We are still paying for it 42 years later.

1997 - Legendary American whinger and 90s cultural icon Jeff Buckley drowns in the Mississippi river.
